My Idol Concert Recap Second Half (8/6/11 Rosemont, IL)

I’m back :)

So this is gonna be less words, more pictures…:D

Lauren started the second half and I went a little crazy overboard with my high pitch screaming to the point where I thought I was choking xD! I couldn’t help it. During intermission, Melissa and her sister found Isa and I and told us that the two seats next to them (row 6) were empty. Apparently the ticket holders did not show up. We were going to sit at row 6 during Lauren’s set but Isa is a James fan and there was a high chance he was entering through the aisle where we were at (row 30, aisle seats 1 + 2) so we stayed and moved up after James’ set.

I’m not gonna lie, I almost cried again. Just seeing Lauren singing live in front of you after watching her on t.v. for so long…omg that feeling can’t be described in words. She’s just so beautiful and small…and her dresses weren’t as poofy as they look like they are.

I stood up and sang along through her whole set like a proud Mama Bear :’)

Security began clearing our aisle as Lauren finished up her set and we realized it was true, James was coming in from our aisle! It felt like minutes passed but he finally came out and Isa touched him xD! LOL I have it on video but I doubt you wanna hear my high pitch screeching :p

Didn’t get good pictures of his set but it was awesome :)

And if you’re wondering why no one tweets on live blog after intermission, it’s because the second half is SO ENTERTAINING and you just can’t take your eyes off the stage. :)

So like I said, after James’ set, Isa and I snuck to row 6 :)

Jacob came next and people were up and dancing :D! He was so into his songs - pouring so much emotion into his set :). I think besides Thia, Jacob was the other surprise of the night.

Haley was up next and she picked the two songs she sung best during Idol: “Housing of Rising Sun” and “Bennie and the Jets”. Forgot to mention, this one fan have a really pretty “I Love Haley” led light thing that spun.

Kept thinking she was gonna accidentally flash ‘cause her dress was short and had a slit on the side.

Seriously, when people blogged and said that you can feel the tension (that Scotty’s coming out soon) as Haley was finishing up her set - it’s true. Oh My Goodness. I felt mad chills and my heart was beating so fast, just waiting for Scotty to make his appearance. Even though it’s a little annoying that you have to wait the whole show before Scotty sings, I think it was a smart choice. It builds so much anticipation!

By this part ^^ Everyone was screaming and I thought I was gonna die.

When Scotty finally came out my blood just ran up to my head and I thought I was gonna faint a few times. I screamed so freakin’ much at one point I thought my I was going to throw up my hear (LOL sorry for the graphic description). Actually, I felt like liquid run down the bridge of my nose and I thought I was having a nosebleed LOOOOOOL. Isa smacked me a few times, laughing. This country boy is jail bait.

Speaking of which, from here on the lovely pictures were taken by Isa because I was busy holding up my McLaina poster and screaming and dying thanks to Scotty. :p

I think it was during “Are You Gonna Kiss Me Or Not” that I spotted Mama Kristy at the side watching Scotty sing. She smiled at me, I waved at her and she waved back. And omg she is beautiful. The McCreery and Suddeth families both have amazing genes.

Scotty looked at our direction multiple times and I seriously thought I was gonna pass out.

And of course time for our beautiful McLaina duet!

Afterwards, Pia, Haley, and Thia joined McLaina for Gone.

My Idol Concert Recap First Half (8/6/11 Rosemont, IL)

Okay, I’m alive. Sorry. Too many stuff in RL keeping me away from McLaina >_<! Again, you can read recap, skim, or just look at pics :) do whateva your heart desires!

So if you didn’t already know, this is my first ever concert! :D Anyway, my best friend (Isabel) and I went into the concert venue and had to separate from Melissa and her sister. By the way, don’t bring food or drinks in. I should have known that security would check bags and throw stuff away. Ahh, was too excited :(.

Back on topic, we got to our seats and realized they weren’t too bad :p and we were both so excited so everything was good. I had been pretty nervous about who we would be sitting next to - really didn’t wanna be sitting next to Lauren and Scotty haters. When a lady and her husband sat down next to us, I glanced at her and she smiled so sweetly. We started chatting and gosh they were the sweeeeetest people ever! She offered us gum and even offered to take a picture of Isa and I together! Then we chatted some more and I became the Idol dictionary because they were Scotty and Lauren fans but didn’t know anyone else’s names. :) So yes, I sat next to McLaina shippers. I showed them my sign and the lady was like, “Aww! If you hold it up later, maybe the camera will show you on screen!” Sighh, I love when you meet strangers and they turn out to be the sweetest people one earth!

So basically everything was like what others have been saying (regarding the order). Naima started “Born This Way”. I love these girls. They are so beautiful! I screamed wayyy too much already on the first set!

Ahh, they were all so pretty! And looked absolutely adorable in their white outfits!

Then our gorgeous trooper, Lauren Alaina did a short introduction and welcomed everyone :) (while I screamed like a mad woman :p)

Then Pia started her set. I was always a fan of Pia’s. Loved her personality a lot because she was like the “big sister” to everyone :). But whao, when she started singing mad chills ran down my spine! She has some pipes!! Snapped a lot of pictures of her but most came out blurry :(

I loved when Stefano came out and joined Pia for their duet. Their voices mix together really well. Me = Piano fan now :)

Next up, Paul performs “Maggie May”. Everyone’s up and dancing. He moved too fast so I couldn’t get good pictures of him.

Thia’s cover of “Who Says” was really good! Her voice sounds so different live but I love how it sounds! I think she was my biggest surprise of the night because I always loved her sweet personality but was never too crazy about her voice! I’m obsessed with her dress by the way.

Pia, Thia, Haley, and Naima then performed “Tightrope”. Don’t remember much from it though.

Stefano starts singing “Grenade” while playing the piano and I just freakin’ love him. That song is so perfect for his voice!

Well, then he lifts his shirt up but doesn’t take it off. I start thinking that he’s not gonna take his shirt off on my tour stop. BUMMER :(. But then he does LOL and I stand on a chair to snap picture (because everyone’s standing up and dancing and I am really, really short)

Stefano, Paul, Jacob, James, & Casey perform and guy number and honestly I don’t remember much of it either o_o.

Naima performs next after J.Lo little introduction. And omg, she flips and does splits…Actually think the song fit her really well! Everyone is up and dancing and I like missed half of her performance because I’m just so, so short!

Pia sings her single, which is now stuck in my head because I’ve been listening to it today! They skipped Pia, Thia, Lauren’s group number, “Firework” because Lauren has been recording and needed to rest her voice for her set. :( I love that performance, would have LOVED to see it live. But, Lauren needs to rest that voice! Ms. Chatterbox! :p

Sorry this recap is getting super long so speeding up a bit. Casey performs with his bassy :p and crowd goes wild. Then he sang a duet with Haley, who has a really cute dress on!

And afterwards is the group performance of “Forget You”! Sounded really good live!

During intermission, Isa and I tried going to the bathroom but holy crappers. The long was SO LONG. There was at least 50 girls lining up. I was so ready to go into the guy’s bathroom, but I didn’t need to go that bad since Mr. Security threw away my water earlier!
